You would think at this point we'd figure out how to make a patch for a previous version, rather than start from scratch every time we want an upgrade.
This is Fe. She is beautiful and amazing and squishy.
And I made her myself! Out of peanut butter and honey sandwiches and girl scout cookies.
She arrived Saturday, May 26th at 11:09. 7lb 3oz and 19in. Everything went perfectly - I couldn't have planned it better (which is kind of what I'd say about everything having to do with little number 5)Mim didn't come to the hospital to meet her new sister, as we didn't think she would do well seeing Mom and Dad and then having to leave again. She likes to see the baby and point out her nose and ears. And this seems to have ended some of her uber-attachment, as she now cries for Grandma, not me.
Both boys love the baby and are EXTREMELY helpful. Husband and I were discussing how to make the transition easier on them and he pointed out that our oldest "has had a new sister every year since he was five. It isn't like this is new for him."
And baby-cakes just stares at us all with a slightly confused, slightly resigned look on her face. I have yet to see her startled, which is impressive since she has now been living in our house for a week.
I have several posts in the works, but it is kind of hard to type and breastfeed at the same time, so we'll see how well I do.
