As you must be aware, last Friday was "Talk like a pirate day." My dear husband had the boys all psyched up for it before I was even out of bed - so the entire day turned into a pirate party.
We colored pirate flags, made pirate newspaper hats, dug for buried treasure, jumped off the plank (coffee table) into shark infested waters, watched the Backyardigans pirate episode - which is my absolute favorite, ate dinner from pirate plates and had sword fights.
