lists

For me, pregnancy is all about making lists. (I know, I'm a nerd) Some I write down, some are just in my head; maybe it is my way of trying to order the uncontrollable, or maybe I just like working toward a deadline. I have a list of 'things to clean before the baby comes,' 'things to read,' 'projects to finish,' 'ideas to entertain the boys while I'm busy with the new baby' (Hey! I could make a list of my lists) I'll spare you my list of 'things to eat when you know you're going to be sick later', and share my list of 'baby songs.' These are songs that I think of when I think of having a new baby in the house again.

Family Tree - Darryl Worley
You're Gonna Miss This - Trace Adkins
I Need Some Sleep -Eels
Dark Brown Is the River -Lullaby Favorites
My Front Porch Looking In - Lonestar
Bad Babies - Adam Bryant/Michael Ford
Baby, Now that I've found you - Alison Krauss
Breath of Heaven (Mary's Song) - Amy Grant
He Is, They Are - Harry Connick, Jr.
Evermore - Alison Krauss
All That She Wants - Wizo
Penguin Lament - John Ondrasik
I Will Survive - Cake

Apparently, babies put me in the mood for country and jazz. This is fast becoming one of my favorite CDs. I think "Family Tree" should be our theme song.

And finally, a list of things I'm thankful for today:

  • Zofran, my anti-nausea medication
  • My NEW DRYER!!!!!!!!
  • The almost spring time weather we've been having
  • My beautiful, sleeping children
  • My dear husband, who hasn't complained once about all the extra work he's been doing since I've been out of commission
  • My warm bed, which is looking more and more inviting by the second

Good Night!
